RM126x Module

We are pleased to announce the RM126x series of LoRaWAN® modules. This embedded LoRaWAN module series delivers exceptionally long range with minimal power consumption for challenging RF use cases.

The RM126x series modules are in a small form factor PCB package with a built in MHF4 connector, TCXO and a DC-DC converter. The module is designed to operate in both hosted and hostless modes. Based on the Silicon Labs EFR32 series SoC and the Semtech SX126x radio, the RM126x provides a low power, long range solution for you to easily develop your LoRaWAN implementation. The RM126x series supports LoRaWAN classes A, B and C, and also includes a LoRa Point to Point (LoRa P2P) capability which enables you to create your own private ultra-long range radio network between two RM126x modules.

LPWAN technologies can be thought of in terms of three primary characteristics: power consumption, range and cost. LPWAN is meant to provide connectivity over long ranges utilizing minimal power, but figures vary among competing solutions. LoRa® Class A nodes achieve either a maximum range (Up to 15 km, around 10 miles), a maximum data rate (~21.9 kbps) or a balance of each as is required by the application. Likewise, when compared to LTE-M cellular solutions, LoRaWAN provides the same or greater range at a lower price point.

Sub-GHz Antennas

Sub-GHz Antennas from Laird Connectivity are designed for use in sub-GHz applications such as LoRaWAN.  Laird  FlexPIFA (Planar Inverted-F Antenna) and i-FlexPIFA (Inverted FlexPIFA) formats, which now support 868MHz and 915MHz frequency bands, are now available.

These ultra-reliable antenna designs deliver strong performance in challenging environments, providing unmatched flexibility to solve real-world antenna design challenges.

Covering 863-870MHz or 902-928MHz frequency bands, they are ideal for use with LoRaWAN or proprietary sub-GHz radio applications for use in FCC and EU/UKCA regions.

868 & 915 MHz FlexPIFA Series

The 868 & 915 MHz FlexPIFA series is a flexible, peel-and-stick PIFA antenna platform designed for rapid integration into devices and housings. PIFA antenna technology provides consistent performance across the 868 and 915 MHz ISM band and are less likely to detune in proximity of metal or a human body. Visit the product page for details and access to the datasheet.

Our 868/915 MHz i-FlexPIFA series is for sub-GHz applications like LoRaWAN and is designed with the radiating element facing outward when adhered to a plastic enclosure interior. This orientation gives more flexibility by granting different mounting options, like the underside of an enclosure, expanding the FlexPIFA family offerings. The 868/915 MHz i-FlexPIFA outperforms competitors’ solutions in these orientations.

868 & 915 MHz i-FlexPIFA Series

The 868 & 915 MHz i-FlexPIFA series is an inverted, flexible, peel-and-stick PIFA, designed with the radiating element facing outward when adhered to a plastic enclosure interior. This orientation gives increased flexibility by granting different mounting options, like the underside of a forward-facing enclosure. Visit the product page for details and access to the datasheet.
